Some Questions For You Still:

After the movie "JFK" came out, I had a discussion with some college student once over a few beers. And he said that, on the 50th anniversary of his assassination, certain sealed documents and files were to be opened and released. If that statement was true, where is that evidence now?

If the same "magic bullet" hit Connally after Kennedy, in the Zapruder film why did Connally remain turned to his right waving his left hand while Kennedy clutches his throat? And he then looked behind until he saw the president's head explode. Connally himself said he doesn't believe the same bullet hit him. And if the fatal bullet came next from above and behind, why did Mrs. Kennedy climb onto the trunk of the car to pick up pieces of the president's skull?

Or, why is almost everyone who doesn't buy into the official cover up labeled as a kook and a troublemaker?

Dangerous Earwigs

I keep finding more of these earwigs all around outside, most lately when I edged the lawn. I see them with their pincers usually open in a roughly parallel fashion, but as I freeze them contraction makes the pincers close. And when the sun shines upon them, it shows that their bodies and legs are a little translucent in various shades of brown. Their pincers are shorter, straighter, and sharper, like scissors closing shut, than most other species of earwig. And also, to compare size, in my photos the lines on the paper are one third of an inch apart.

Speculating, it appears to me that it could possibly be that there are three different types of sexes in this species, not unlike some other insects. I think it is probably the females which dominate in numbers and lay quite a few eggs here and there and wherever they choose. And it may be the males that are much smaller and thinner, with or without stubby wings, and with thin pincers. It also might be possible that they communicate with each other through ultrasonic vibrations.

I know that cold air slows them down, and freezing air stops them cold. I also know that they have a difficult time crawling over slick surfaces like the inside of a plastic bag, but they stick very well to textured surfaces like a Kleenex or concrete. And when found they tend to run and look to hide in nooks and crannies, under debris, or even underneath your shoes. You shouldn't ever let one crawl up your nose or into your ear.

P.S. This species also burrows underground or creeps into your house to escape the cold.

And a Few More Words

Surprisingly, lately on the television news I've seen fuzzy images of the likes of their shapes taken during a MRI or CT scan of the brain and of the sinus cavity. Doctors could be misdiagnosing the situation when they call it cancer. Perhaps they should also take scans later on and see if it has moved in any way.

I still find these earwigs outside nearly every time I look for them. The right amount of ultrasonic waves might be able to kill them somehow or drive them away. That might be safer and possibly more effective than radiation or chemotherapy.

Should I care so much and be so concerned? I guess my last word on the subject is that you can do what you want to do, I suppose. And, believe what you want to believe.

Well, Maybe Just One More Look

About 50 More

When the local televised news reads the diseases reported by doctors that are currently going around the area, sinus infections and ear infections usually top the list. But, they never give an explanation as to why that should be.

And when I raked up some dead Holly tree leaves on the end of our back patio on the first full day of summer, I found all these earwigs (photographs below) among the dirt and debris. In about ten minutes I picked up as many as I could from about a six square foot area with my bare fingers and put them in a plastic bag. But, there were some that I didn't get and then later freeze.

I hadn't fully realized how many of these there are around. I hope that perhaps the recent flooding rains have killed some of the others off.

P. S. The scientific name of the family may be Labiidae Dermaptera, I'm not sure.

Once Again - "earwigs"

So by now you should all be aware of what I think is a real danger. The fable may also sometimes be true. Fight back and defeat them. Don't let insects conquer humanity. I sincerely hope that never happens. And yet, while I continue to look somewhat passively around for them, always keeping an eye out, I do keep finding them these days.

I know that I found a sleeping live one in the very first early morning hour of Christmas Eve, and then I froze it. That's its picture above.

But, have a Happy New Year! And believe me and understand, I hope that, by the grace of God, those of you who can see and hear may not have these pests surrounding or finding you, much like in a horror story. And now, I expect that this is the last time I will mention the subject of earwigs on the internet. Thanks for the platform, or soapbox. May we sleep in peace somehow, and not live a nightmare.

Actually, I found seven earwigs in September without really trying. I forgot for a little while where I had placed the bag in the freezer with the earwig that I had found in the driveway. Here's its picture.

Last month I found four earwigs while cleaning our carport. One of them was even crawling up my bare leg. I later found another one in the driveway when I was mowing the front lawn. Afterwards, I saw still another one in the carport again. I captured all of them, put them in the freezer, and then later photographed them with my new digital camera.

P.S. The Green Anoles appear to be coming back here again. But, we didn't have all that many lizards around this past summer.

To Me It Seems Incredible

So you're telling me that about four or five Moslem men armed only with box cutters could start murdering flight attendants and pilots while around a hundred American men sat in their seats crying and whimpering like little girls on three of four different jetliners. How weak and cowardly those other passengers appear to have been!

And, how slow had our air defenses been that day if they were not able to catch up with even one of the hijacked planes? Or, how could a 757 hit the Pentagon with its hardened walls and leave almost no debris outside the building? And why was the last tower hit the first to fall?

Are you really telling me the truth? I find it hard to believe this story still. But I saw those towers fall. Wasn't it live on TV?

American Earwigs

A Fifth Frozen Earwig

On Sunday, August 21st, I decided to look outside for another common earwig to use for comparison. Within a minute I found this one, but it appears to be the dangerous type. Right now I'm no longer certain about which earwig is what species or what their differences are, but I do think at least some of them are quite dangerous pests. And, who knows how many of them there are around?

Perhaps scientists shouldn't disparage folklore so much. There might be a reason for some of these tales. I have a book that lists a Little Earwig known scientifically as "Labia Minor" and classified under Labiidae Dermaptera. And its range covers the entire contiguous United States.

Green Anole lizards used to be almost the only ones found around here besides skinks, but now it's mostly some Tex-Mex species with a ridge on its back and a bull head. Fire ants and Carpenter ants have replaced bull ants and most other ants that used to come into our yard. Even honey bees have seemed to decline after killer bees arose. Go figure.

When I saw this earwig on July 18th, I stomped on it with my shoe. The uneven pattern on my shoe's sole crushed its head and thorax but left the lower abdomen and pincers unscathed. I froze that piece along with the other earwigs. I had let the common earwig used earlier for comparison go after having cooled it down in the refrigerator, but I think a Green Anole lizard ate it before it could move about freely.

So, in the last year and a half, I have at least taken out four of these dangerous earwigs and all their possible offspring (though one might be in a state of suspended animation). But it's likely that there are more around somewheres. You might try ultrasonic waves to drive them away, though I'm not sure how well that will work.

P.S. I was given a better camera after I used my credit card at hhgregg.

P.P.S. And, in my opinion, it was a big mistake for the U.S. to place "space bombers" and "killer satellites" in orbit. They should probably bring them back down. At the least, these acts have set a bad precedent.

Found Another Of Those Earwigs

When I saw this one this past Tuesday night, I put it in a plastic sandwich bag. I then put it in the freezer. In its death throes, it bent its back over double and opened wide its pincers and closed them several times while writhing about. As it got colder, it straightened out its body and closed its pincers.

Here in Florida, the common type earwig has what looks something like an oblong segmented shield centered on its underbelly, while on this one the segments go all the way across its abdomen.

UFO and The Moon

Maybe they were just assessing the situation here on Earth, but I wouldn't even be surprised if extraterrestrials somehow averted a total nuclear meltdown at Fukushima. I haven't heard anyone else mention anything about that UFO and the Moon, but I think that I couldn't have been the only one to notice it. That starship must have been about one quarter the size of the Moon.

I'd also like to know what secret military payload was sent into space from Vandenberg AFB on April 14th by the NRO. Was it just cameras? If so, why all the secrecy?

What May Have Happened

Not a Rogue Asteroid, a UFO



I would conjecture that these are both orbs in shape. I think the moon is the larger orb in the photo, and that the shadow from the sun of the smaller self-glowing orb falls upon the moon to the lower left.

It was a clear night when I stepped out into my backyard at about 2:45am on March 14th and looked toward a moon looming large over the western horizon that seemed misshapen and that I didn't quite recognize. Being curious about it and not seeing it completely through the trees, I walked out front and down the street to get a clear view. I then went back inside to get my camera and tripod. At about 2:50 I was back on the street and took this picture. Seconds later the moon did not look very unusual, but I took a few more pictures anyway until it went below the trees again.

I'm sorry that the photo is a little overexposed. Both objects had an orangish golden hue like a harvest moon. I used the night scene setting on my inexpensive digital camera. I'm not all too pleased with my camera, but it's at least something I like to have around.

Rogue Asteroid Near Miss?

Looking to the west just above the horizon around 3am EDT (maybe EST) on March 14, I saw these objects and took a digital photograph. At first I thought it was a strange looking moon like I had never seen before. But, maybe there was something else in front of our moon as I was gazing from my position in Jacksonville, Florida.

Even with an ultra-sonic pest repeller nearby, I found this young earwig crawling around on September 7th and pounded it with my hand when I saw it. I don't think roach spray works very well against them either. So keep a sharp eye out. It seems that pounding them when you notice them may be your second best defense. And just to be safe, because these earwigs are so similar to the normal ones, I would go ahead and kill every earwig wherever and whenever I might find one. I know that, as for me, I'm not going to tolerate their continued existence anymore.

This is the common earwig normally found in Northeast Florida. It looks very similar to the one in my previous post. The difference in appearance is mainly in the size and shape of the abdomen, with the other's being of greater width comparatively and shaped more like a teardrop. I don't really think that it's necessary to kill this species shown here, if found outside.

This is neither a joke nor just an old wives' tale. Beware of this dangerous pest. It can scurry into a nostril, cut a small circle in the skin inside, start gnawing away at your sinus cavity, making a home for itself, get into your ear, and more. I hope that one of these doesn't enter or infect your brain. Symptoms include sinus infections on one side. First the danger must be recognized, then you can fight against it.

If you see an earwig like this one, you should kill and capture it. To see one and not kill it might be a deadly mistake. Its normal lifespan is probably more than a dozen years.

When I saw this one, I pounded it with my fist like a hammer. I then crushed its neck with my thumbnail and dropped it into a small container. It landed in an awkward position bending the abdomen. Then I froze it.

Unfortunately, in Florida at least, if you tell a doctor that you have a problem with this bug, that same doctor can very well legally send you to an insane asylum for the rest of your life. Thank God for the power of the name of Jesus Christ! And thank goodness for doctors. But, I would also suggest that everyone buy ultra-sonic pest repellers and plug one into an outlet in your bedroom. I know Black&Decker makes some in China.

So, beware also of those earwigs that you don't see. Insects have little mercy. And, the Mafia and CIA do likewise, among others. But who can blame them? Mercy is meant for the merciful. But, this means war. I'm still hoping it's not a plague. And, I hope mankind overcomes these things. Glory to the LORD God.

Congratulations to Barack Obama

I wish him well as President of the United States of America in a difficult time. But, I don't envy the job.

Perhaps Congress can now pass a law to criminalize torture that won't be vetoed.

How US Torture Laws Help Al-Qaeda

One Reason at Least

No decent, self-respecting individual would ever turn another person over to authorities to be tortured. Yes a civilized person might turn in a suspect to be detained and questioned, but not for torture or summary execution.

Torture is against international law and condemned by enlightened societies, but embraced by degenerates and barbarians. My dad used to tell me that two wrongs don't make a right. I guess maybe Bush's Poppy never said that to him.

Here is a good opportunity for our space agencies to prove the value of the Orbital Express satellites to reprogram and boost the orbit of its own spy satellite, but instead they choose once again to show their ability to destroy satellites by using anti-satellite missiles.

They warned the Chinese before about doing the same thing. It sounds like another clear act of intimidation against the rest of the world, an example of how they can deny access in space for certain satellites - especially those from Iran.
